Shipping Destination Notices – a small WooCommerce plugin for the realities of international trade

When working with Swiss stores
or simply outside the US

Why is my American customer surprised by taxes?

How can you say you don’t deliver to Russia without breaking the checkout?

How can I display clear information for a specific canton or country?

The usual answer in WooCommerce is a mixture of snippets, obscure shipping rules and cumbersome plugins. It works… until it breaks.

So I made a simple plugin.

Shipping Destination Notices for WooCommerce allows you to display a clear message – or block delivery – depending on the customer’s country or state, directly in the checkout.

Concrete examples:

  • πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ “Import taxes between 15-22% may apply.”
  • πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί “We currently cannot ship to this destination.”
  • πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ “Glass items ship only via priority service.”

No complicated logic. No modern builds. No unnecessary dependencies.

Just readable rules in WooCommerce β†’ Settings, classic checkout and block checkout compatible, multilingual, cleanly coded.

This is exactly the spirit of our dc25 / dc26 projects: small, durable tools that a human being will be able to understand in five years’ time.

Because a good plugin isn’t one that does everything.

He’s the one who does something important, clearly.

The plugin will soon be available on the WordPress repo.

In the meantime, if your store sells internationally and you need to explain taxes, restrictions or local specifics – this one should make your life easier.
